In this 3-hour workshop open to all bodies and levels of movement/dance familiarity, we will engage a series of practices that invite participants to surrender to the below, beneath, behind, and within of sensation, movement, and psyche, opening possibilities of interconnection with others and our surroundings. Through structured resting, guided awareness practice into subtle/imaginary bodily experience, open-ended and focused movement work, and care-ful and response-able sharing (through language and physical contact), we will engage curiously in the terrain between comfort/discomfort, courage/fear, certainty/uncertainty, self/other, outside/inside, and rest/action. Wear comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict movement and bring a something to write with/on. To register or ask questions: firstname.lastname@example.org. Sliding scale $15-50.
